# How to take a test or quiz

Tests and quizzes on are used to check your understanding of a course or topic. This guide walks you through the full process from logging in to viewing your results so you can complete your assessment with confidence.

**Before you start:** Make sure you have a stable internet connection, a fully charged device (or one plugged in), and enough quiet time to finish the quiz without interruption. Some quizzes are timed and cannot be paused once started.

### Step 1 — Log in to Arabian Child Learning Platform

1. Open your browser and go to the learning portal website address
2. Click the **SIGN IN** button at the top-right corner
3. Enter your **registered email address** and **password**.
4. Click **Log In** to access your dashboard.

> 💡 **Tip:** If you've forgotten your password, click [Forgot Password?](/ac-learning-platform-user-guidebook/general/how-to-reset-your-password.md) to reset it via email.

### Step 2 — Navigate to your course

### Step 3 — Open the test or quiz

1. Look for an item labelled **Quiz**, **Test**, or with a quiz icon.
2. Click the title to open the quiz overview page.

3. Read the **instructions** carefully before starting. The overview page usually shows:

   * The number of questions
   * The time limit (if any)
   * The passing score
   * The number of attempts allowed

Once you click **Start**, the timer (if applicable) will begin immediately. Make sure you're ready before you proceed.

### Step 4 — Start the quiz

1. When you're ready, click the **Start Quiz** (or **Begin Test**) button.

2. The first question will appear on the screen.

### Step 5 — Answer the questions

There are several question types. Here's how to respond to each:

#### Multiple choice

Select the **one correct answer** by clicking the radio button next to your choice.

#### Multiple response

Tick **all answers that apply** by clicking the checkboxes.

#### True / False

Click either **True** or **False**.

#### Short answer / Fill in the blank

Type your answer into the text box provided.

#### Matching

Drag items from one column to match them with items in the other column.

> 💡 **Tip:** Keep an eye on the timer in the top corner of the screen if your quiz is timed.

### Step 6 — Move between questions

* Click **Next** to move to the following question.
* Click **Previous** (if enabled) to go back and review.
* Sometimes all the Questions are in one page that you would scroll the page only.

### Step 7 — Review your answers

Before submitting, take a moment to:

1. Click **Review** (or scroll back through the questions).
2. Check that every question has an answer.
3. Confirm you're happy with your responses.

If a question is left blank, it will usually be marked as incorrect. Make sure you've attempted every question.

### Step 8 — Submit the quiz

1. When you're ready, click **Submit** (or **Finish Quiz**).

2. A confirmation will appear with the results.

Once submitted, you cannot change your answers. Make sure you've reviewed everything before clicking Submit.

### Step 9 — View your results

After submission, you can display your results depending if the instructor allows, which may include:

* Your **score** (as a percentage or points)
* **Pass / Fail** status
* **Correct and incorrect answers** (if your administrator has enabled feedback)
* **Explanations** for each question (if provided)

### Step 10 — Retake the quiz (if allowed)

If your administrator allows multiple attempts:

1. Return to the quiz page from your course.
2. Click **Retake Quiz** (or **Try Again**).
3. Repeat the process from Step 4.

> 💡 **Tip:** Use your previous feedback to focus on the topics you missed.

### Troubleshooting

| Issue                               | What to do                                                                                                              |
| ----------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| The quiz won't load                 | Refresh the page or try a different browser (Chrome or Edge are recommended).                                           |
| My answers didn't save              | Check your internet connection. If it dropped during the quiz, contact your administrator.                              |
| The timer ran out before I finished | Your answers up to that point will be submitted automatically. Reach out to your trainer if you'd like another attempt. |
| I can't see my results              | Some quizzes hide results until the administrator releases them. Check back later or contact support.                   |
